I write this blog because I like to write. I publish in the hope that someone might enjoy reading it. I write because I love words that make up sentences. I write because I've had this nagging voice in my head that keeps saying, "You're paying someone to host a blog you're not contributing to".
I'm a follower of Jesus. Some think I'm too progressive. Some friends think I'm faking my progression. I personally am not too sure. I'm not a particularly good follower of Jesus.
I'm a South African.
I'm married to Mary. You'll hear about Mary through me. She has better things to do with her time than write a blog.
I'm also a first time father. My beautiful daughter is named Erin. It means 'Peace', apparently.
I'm an ordained Methodist minister. If you don't know what "ordained" or "Methodist" or "minister" mean, I wouldn't worry too much, those terms might prove to be incidental.
I also love Jesus though so much of what I do, to quote Anne Lamott, would "make Jesus want to drink gin straight out of the cat dish".
This blog is also possibly (more than likely/almost certainly) hopelessly self-centred. I apologise in advance. (It is not promising that every one of the above sentences begins with 'I').
